Cartwheels for Jesus

I heard a story about a young man who decided that life was not worth living. On his way to commit suicide, he gave God one last chance. He said to God “if I have a purpose and a reason to live then show me by having someone do cartwheels on the stage, in the sanctuary, during the church service.” Stopping at a church he walked in while worship was going on. He sat waiting for God to cause someone to do cartwheels. The worship was beautiful. The people all stood with their hands erect worshiping God, all the while, this young man had suicide on his mind. Minutes passed, his mind raced what was I thinking, why would God give me a second thought? The music was over, the congregation sat down and the pastor made his way to the podium. The young man stood to leave but before he could completely turn around to walk out he heard a loud thunder of steps running away from him; he turned around to see a young lady running to the front of the sanctuary. Then across the platform this young lady made her way across the sanctuary doing cartwheels. The young man fell to his seat and wept.
His life was too important to God.
It took one young lady to listen to the voice of God to save his life. We never know why God asks us to do something, most of the time it seems awkward or bad timing. Sometimes we are too busy, sometimes it would be too embarrassing, sometimes it will cost us,
sometimes we are just not in the mood.
Have you ever had a tugging in your spirit to do something? The Holy Spirit is with us guiding us and directing us, not just for our own needs, but for others too. God is so concerned about every aspect of our life, that He will send cartwheelers to stop us from making a mistake. As children of God we must tune our ears to the Holy Spirit. We must learn to follow His leading and prompting. Though it may not make sense at the time, He may be using you to save someone’s life! That young lady heard specifically from the Lord to do cartwheels. What went through her mind? What if she ignored God? What if she said she would be humiliated and told God no? What if God had already asked 121 people in that congregation that day and she
was the only person left God could ask?
What if God told you to do cartwheels, would you do it?
