My Favorite Scriptures from Genesis

These are scriptures that have given me comfort over the years.  They give me hope and show me how much God loves me and how he will not let the abuser get by with any abuse.

Genesis 4:6-10: Then the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door, and it’s desire is for you, but you must master it… And He Said, “the voice of your brother’s blood is crying out to Me from the ground. 

Genesis 15:1: Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you.  Your reward will be very great.

Genesis 21:17-18: And God heard the lad crying; and the angle of God called to Hagar from heaven, … Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. 

Genesis 21:22: God is with you in all that you do. 

Genesis 41:52: God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.
